Arctic Encounters’ first international conference will be held 30-31 May, 2014. Entitled The Postcolonial Arctic, this two-day conference will bring together early-career researchers and established scholars from across various disciplines to engage in dialogue surrounding the application of postcolonial theories and methods to the European Arctic.
From a large number of abstract submissions, roughly two dozen panel and poster presentations have been selected for the conference. Keynote speakers include Michael Bravo (Cambridge), Kari Herbert (Polarworld) and Tero Mustonen (Snowchange Cooperative, Finland).
